We are very thankful to have our tenor, Jonathan, back in the show with us! For those that don't know, Jonathan has been out for a few weeks recovering from surgery on his vocal cords. Now, he's back sounding as good as ever!
Here is a message from Jonathan...
"First and foremost I want to praise our God for His healing touch and the guiding hands of Dr. Richardson of Bastian Voice Institute in Chicago. Also, for all the thoughts and prayers from everyone! Well for the ones that don't know and the ones that do, I had surgery on my vocal cords! There was a polyp on my left cord therefore causing scar tissue to build up on the right vocal cord which caused me vocal issues to where I wasn't able to sing like I use to. I was put on strict vocal rest for what was to be a total of 6 weeks. We went back to the doctor this last Monday with the hopes we had made good progress and had some good news. The Lord, like always, answered all our prayers and still showed us his mercy in which we are still in awe. He said that I was doing better than expected and lifted not just some but all of the restrictions that he had me on. The only thing was the simple recommendation that i sing a little lightly for the first week or so and then go back to normal. As for talking, I was free to talk and talk and talk.. I can talk and sing, so as of Saturday I was back in the show. With 2 more weeks of restoring my range, I will be like new! I want to thank my wonderful wife Cami, for putting up with me and taking care of me. My work family for letting me work and dealing with my wipe board! LOL! The Blackwood's for praying for me and encouraging me to get back but not over doing it. My kids... Helen Yeller is better!!! All my family and friends for their love and prayers. Please keep us in your prayers for we have a little more time to go, but I am so grateful and thankful and I can and will continue to sing with a heart as such."
