DENNY YEARY – BASS SINGER
Denny Yeary’s booming Bass voice is quite a legend in Gospel Music, Branson, MO, as well as across the country. Born in Middletown, OH, Denny started his professional singing career singing Bass for the southern gospel group “Coy Cook and The Evangels”. However, in 1973 his life would change forever when he joined the famous Blackwood Singers and started a treasured lifelong friendship. Denny worked with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans for several years when he was working with The Blackwood’s. Later Roy and Dale took Denny on many of their Rodeo shows thanks to Roy’s manager Art Rush, who was one of Denny’s good friends. Art Rush was a big supporter of Denny’s early career and even wrote wonderful reviews on the back of Denny’s first solo album. He spent over 20 years singing Bass with the Blackwood family and then started a solo career that took him to many Fairs, Festivals and venues across the country. After many years in Branson, Mo Denny Joined the famous Foggy River Boys and remained their Bass singer until they retired the group. For the last 15 years Denny has been best known for being half of The Sweethearts of Branson where he performs with his lovely wife Shelia Renee. Together they bring to life favorite musical classics with comedy and beautiful harmonies. Being back singing Bass with the famous Blackwood Family is just like coming home.
